Verifying Your Account
Alpha Bullion requires all accounts to be verified before redeeming your PAX Gold to physical gold. To prevent fraud, and to be in full compliance with government enforced KYC & AML regulations, we ask that you verify your identity with us before we accept any orders.
Step 1: Provide Us with Accurate Profile and Address Information
Fill out your Alpha Bullion account page with accurate profile and address information. You must provide both your shipping and billing address. Note that you cannot change this information after your account has been verified without additional documentation proving it has changed, so make sure it is accurate before submitting your account for verification. For instructions on changing your name or address after a legal name change or move, refer to the "Request To Change Account Information" section at the bottom of this page.
Step 2: Provide Us With the Following Documents Required For Account Verification
You must also upload each of the following documents to the documents tab on your account page before we can verify your identity:
1. Government Issued ID Documents (Must be valid and cannot be expired):
Options:
- Driver’s License
- Passport
- National Identity Card
At our discretion, we may accept other forms of government-issued ID documents if your full legal name, date of birth, photo, year issued, and expiration dates are displayed.
2. Proof of Residency Document
Options:
- Pay Stub or Payroll Statement
- Utility Bill (phone, electric, gas, water, internet, etc.)
- Tax Document
- Bank or Credit Card Statement
- Insurance Statement
- Certificate of Residence
3. Verified Photo For ID Confirmation
- The account holder must provide a verification photo for ID confirmation. This photo must display the account holder clearly holding both his or her government issued ID and a handwritten note. We have provided written instructions for this photo below, as well as a handy infographic with further details.
- Hold your note in your left hand and your ID in your right hand.
- Ensure that you are directly facing the camera.
We recommend using a high-quality camera with a high resolution to ensure all text on your note and ID are readable.
- Ensure that you are directly facing the camera.
- We require your entire face, arms, and hands to be visible in the photo.
- Please do not cover up or hide any part of the note, the ID or your face.
- Please do not wear any accessories such as hats, sunglasses, or any other items that may conceal your face, as it must be clearly visible.
- Your photo must be a full-color image. We will not accept any filtered images or images that are in black and white.
- Mind your lighting when taking your photo. We will deny account verification to any images that are too dark, blurry, or unreadable.
- Requirements For ID:
- The ID you are holding must be the exact same ID that you provided us for account verification.
- Your ID information must be readable. We will not verify your account if the details on your ID are out of focus and/or are blurry.
- Please make sure your ID does not contain holes, is not damaged, and is not torn. Hold the ID upright. We will not accept any images where the ID is held upside down or on its side.
- Your photo must show your ID in full. We will not accept your photo if the ID is cut off.
- Requirements For Handwritten Note.
Your note must include the following:- A title reading “AlphaBullion”
- The current date in MM/DD/YY format
- Your full legal name
- Your signature:
At any time, we may request you to provide us with a different note for verification. You must follow the instructions provided for your account to be verified. - The note must be handwritten. We will not accept notes that have been typed.
- The note must contain the exact requirements listed. Please do not change the format or any of the words on the note. Failure to comply will result in us denying your account.
- Requirements For ID:
Processing Time Frame For Verification
- Alpha Bullion processes most verifications within an estimated 1-5 business days. However, please note that processing time frames can vary between accounts and may be longer than estimated.
- If we need any additional information, we will contact you via the email associated with your Alpha Bullion Account.
- If you do not provide us with the documents requested, or if your documents contain errors, we will then ask you to correct your documents and upload them again. Your account will not be verified until you complete this step.
Request To Change Account Information
After account verification has been approved and completed, you will not have the ability to change or update any of your account details.
If for any reason you need to adjust or update your information, please view the applicable section below and follow the instructions provided:
1. Change Of Name
If you have legally changed your name, please email customerservice@alphabullion.com to request an update. We will require you to provide a name change certificate and/or a valid ID with your new name.
2. Change Of Address
If you have moved or would like to change the address on your Alpha Bullion account, please email customerservice@alphabullion.com to make the change.
We will request you to provide us with two valid documents that display your new proof of residence.
Your account will need to be verified again before it reflects the change.
